A very dear friend of mine doesn't. She says that in order to describe words you have to use words. Words describe words! You can't touch them or anything! I need something to touch and manipulate. Well, I love words. I love to read them, write them down, I love to write words about words with words! One day, while reading the dictionary, I began to look up a strand of words and I wanted to share them with you.
Abortion-untimely birth; miscarriage; that which falls short of maturity by arrest of development.
Arrest-to stop or stay; check or hinder or motion of; seize, take or apprehend by legal authority; seize and fix, as the eye of attention: the act of seizing; holding back by force or restraint; the state of being seized or detained by legal authority.
Seize-to take possession of forcibly or suddenly; grasp; snatch; take hold of; comprehend;
Snatch-to take or seize abruptly and suddenly without permission; seize and carry away; the attempt to seize anything suddenly; Slang-kidnapping, or the act of kidnapping.
I don't know exactly what the legal punishment is for one who has committed the hideous crime of kidnapping but I do know that it is not lawful and it is not a commended profession.
As I pray I ask that you please also. Please pray that, even if it is just one at a time, that God will change the hearts of mothers who seek to gain their normal life back with an abortion. Please pray that God will change the hearts of the doctors one at a time. A gentlemen that kept the roads clear of stone by busting them with a sledge hammer told Amy Carmichael it took many blows to break the rocks. He told her to never say, "I won this person for Christ." You may have been that last blow of MANY. That there were many blows made before you and you were just the last and were privileged to witness the breaking of that hard heart. Please, pray. One blow at a time, this evil, this child sacrifice that is destroying our country can be brought to its knees. Praying is something we can all do! And do it we must!

Freedom, Hope, Peace and Joy
Do you ever times when you're heart really does feel as though it is singing?
Has there ever been a time when you just want to sing, dance, jump or squeal like you did when you were little?
What about just wanting to smile, all the time, for NO apparent reason?
Today has been one of those days. A lot has went on today: a friend has moved in, I have changed rooms. A lot has went on this week. A lot of changes. And the thing is, change scares me, it honestly frightens me, but, God has given me peace. The peace that He PROMISES to give His children. And why I didn't remember that or realize it, I don't know, well, I do know. I was to concerned with all the change that was going on to stop and let Him give me that peace that He promises. Through all this God has taught me something I never would of thought I needed to learn: that material things, STUFF, is not important, at all. I am a pack rat, gee whizz, am I pack rat! But God has taught me through my precious Mommy, that this stuff, really doesn't matter. I got rid of a ton of clothes, shoes and there is more that I need to get rid of. And, it has been so freeing. And I hope that I never loose the ability to literally see what I don't need and to just be able to give it away.
Through all this change, moving, giving away and everything else God has given me joy, peace, hope and freedom! And for all of this am SO thankful! I am so grateful that He has chosen to give me all of this and the ability to see that HE is what is important, doing what HE wants is important. Not all these worldly goods. I also KNEW that, but I never held onto it, I never wanted it, but now I do! And I praise God for that!

A Beautiful World
I was created by the Almighty Maker
I have a family,
People love me and want to help me,
At times I do not want their help,
"I have already done this, what makes you think I can't do it again?"
At times when I pray I get so angry, and God just listens and when the sun comes up and
it
is
a new day full of His mercy, I realize how foolish I was.
I pray that I will not be bitter,
for I have no reason to be.
My brother is sick, my family is worn out and I don't know what to do next,
I say these things and try to convince myself that I have a right to be angry when, in reality...
My brother is being taken care of,
My other siblings have sun on their faces and are getting along.
My Daddy has a job
My Mommy is well and able to take care of my brother,
who,
really shouldn't even
be
here
and
nor
should
she.
There are roses on the window sill,
clothes in the washing machine,
corn in the garden,
can goods in the pantry,
left overs in the fridge from loved ones,
supper waiting for us at an aunt's house,
and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ praying for us.
I.
am.
loved.
As I was washing dishes,
putting clothes in the dryer,
baking a cake for my family,
and wiping down the counter tops,
I realized God has given me,
Strawberry lips shining in the summer sun.
Canary tips glowing there for everyone.
You fell asleep under the cherry tree.
La la la la la la, it's a beautiful world and we're all here.
Your winter skin warming in the summer sun.
You know within you will stay forever young.
You fell asleep under the starlit sea.
It's time to wake up.
The moon is high above you.
We're all here cause we love you.
And when you finally open your eyes and ears,
you'll see and you'll hear us sing.
La la la la la la, it's a beautiful world and we're all here.
La la la la la la, it's a beautiful world and we're all here.
La la la la la la, it's a beautiful world.
You fell asleep under the starlit sea.

My SunShine

She is always willing teach you what she knows
She loves to do cart wheels
She is always dancing
She loves to help you do anything
She is always ready to laugh at you
She loves to smile and make others smile
She is always encouraging when I try to do a cart wheel and it doesn't work
She loves to talk
She is always singing
She is beautiful
She is a miracle
And
She is my sister, a gift from God and for that I am so thankful!

My Mommy
My Mommy is my hero
She is beautiful
She is brave
She is loyal
She loving
She is a servant
She is a woman that would do anything for someone she loves
And that is what she has done
She has sacrificed her self in doing what Christ would of done
She has given herself as a servant
She has given herself as someone to call on at anytime
She has been a shoulder for me to lean on all the time
She is a Titus 2 Women
She is a roll model of Proverbs 31
She is my role model
My Mommy is my hero
She is MY Mommy and for that I am so thankful!
I pray that she continues to be strong
That she will continue to be joyful
That she will have peace
I love you Mommy and thank you for being MY Mommy!

Hold On
This week has been a little crazy, but it has taught me a lot. You would think with a million things going on all could you do is what you have to do but this week has taught me to remember to pray. It has taught that my Mommy is strong. Strong in the Lord, in her faith and that she loves her family without condition. Hold on is a beautiful song that gives you hope to hold on, to wipe away the lonely night, and that God has the starts shining just for you!
I love you Mommy!

My Daddy...
If I ever go anywhere and a person doesn't know who I am, I can tell them where I live and my Daddy's name and they know him. They more then likely knew my GrandDaddy too. They know my GrandMother. My Daddy, GrandDaddy and GrandMother are such amazing people. GrandDaddy was born in 1914, the middle child of 11 children. He and his family were Share Croppers. They moved from farm to farm as a form of living. He went to bed hungry, he lost his mother at age 12, his father was a very gruff man, he had to except a new mother when he was 13 or 14. He and his brother's and sister's had to pick cotton for their family in order to survive and then pick other people's cotton and get payed in bales of cotton instead of money so they wouldn't have to move. Bales of cotton was how they were paying for their farm. They worked so hard so they could get out of share cropping. When he was 16 or 17, the age where boys just eat and eat, he only got 2 classes of milk, (one sweet milk and one butter milk) and two pieces of corn bread for supper after working so hard. And when I say "so hard" I HAVE NO IDEA how hard he worked.
At 26, in 1940, he and my grandmother got married. She was 19. They then had four children. Their first son after their first year of marriage, then 2 years later their daughter. Then 13 years later, Daddy came along and 5 1/2 years later came their last son. They raised up all their children with integrity, they taught them to be honest. They still work very hard! Daddy and Uncle Keith, his little brother, have a booming business together. And I think that one reason why they have done so well is because they have honored God in all that they do! And GrandDaddy and GrandMother taught them to do that. They taught them to serve God, to tithe because they COULD. In this recession Daddy's business has grown more then it ever has! They have been able to give two men full time jobs in these hard times!
GrandDaddy taught them these things and he of all people had every reason to be bitter! But he wasn't! He loved his family, served God, was always helping a neighbor! The fellowship at our church was dedicated to him because of how much he did for our church. In 1979 he had a heart attack sitting on his tractor after pulling someone's car out of a ditch. He died helping someone!
I could go on and on writing about my family, where they have came from, what they have done for me and how much they love me but I'l stop here and you will probably hear more later on. I just hope that I will treasure my family and all that they do and have done for me!
Thanks for stopping by!
God Bless you!
Leah-Joy.
